Tuscaloosa, ala. (WHNT) – Alabama Crimson Tide shot the commodores of Vanderbilt 30-14, take revenge for last year’s defeat in Nashville.
The tide faced the early adversity while Ty Simpson launched an interception on the opening reader. Vanderbilt replied with a 65 yards touchdown, then Alabama missed a basket.
The defense of Alabama pinned its ears back and forced an escape from the Vanderbilt Drive which followed, which had entered the tidal territory and potentially set them up by two scores.
Ty Simpson then connected with Ryan Williams for a hit while Alabama equaled things to 7-7.
But Vanderbilt would recover his head on a spear pass to Shaun Alexander with a little less than two minutes at halftime. Alabama did not start; The tide rolled on the ground in a crunchy two -minute forest and attached things to the break.
The Alabama held Vanderbilt aimless in the second half while relying on the ball carrier Jam Miller, in particular at the fourth quarter, and the tide released the victory.
The tide will be back in action next week against the Missouri at 11 a.m.
