76ers trade Green to Grizzlies for Melton

CAMDEN, NJ — The Philadelphia 76ers have traded the rights to Thursday’s 23rd draft pick and Danny Green to the Memphis Grizzlies for De’Anthony Melton.

The 76ers selected David Roddy with the 23rd overall pick.

Melton averaged 10.8 points per game with the Grizzlies last season. Melton is expected to make $8.25 million next season and then $8 million in 2023-24.

Former Raptors glory Green tore his anterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament in his left knee during the playoffs.

The Sixers only held one pick in the 2022 draft and it was No. 23.
