73-year-old woman killed in accident in Pokemouche, New Brunswick – New Brunswick

A collision between two vehicles in Pokemouche, New Brunswick, on Saturday claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman.

RCMP said they responded to the crash on Highway 11 around 8:30 p.m.

“The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of the southbound car crossed the center line, colliding with the northbound car,” RCMP wrote in a statement.

The passenger in the southbound car died instantly. RCMP said she was from Caraquet, NB

The two drivers and the passenger of the second vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office attended the scene and are assisting in the investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the woman’s exact cause of death,” the RCMP said.
