Seven people from London and the GTA face charges following a search which led police to a large amount of drugs, firearms and other suspected proceeds of crime.
London police said they searched homes on Sarnia Road and Princess Avenue on Thursday, locations identified following an investigation dating back to March.
Three of the defendants are from North York; one is from Toronto and the youngest, 21, is from London. The police did not disclose the sex of the accused.
Some of the charges against them include possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a restricted firearm.
The list of items seized includes:
- Prohibited .45 caliber handgun loaded (declared stolen)
- Restricted .45 caliber handgun loaded (serial number removed)
- 14 grams of carfentanil
- 582 grams of fentanyl
- 1431 grams of methamphetamine
- 149 grams of cocaine
- 379 grams of psyilocybin
- 44 Ritalin pills
- 411 Dilaudide pills
- 32 tablets of oxycodone
- 285 cartridges (various types)
- ballistic vest
- Many digital scales
- Many cell phones
- money counter
- Around $1620 in cash
- 5090 grams of cutting agent
The defendants are scheduled to appear in court on Friday in connection with the charges.
