6 people arrested following series of shootings in Peel Region – Toronto

BRAMPTON, Ont. — Six men face more than 30 charges in total following a three-month investigation by Peel Regional Police into a spate of gun violence.
Separate shootings between August 13 and October 3 this year saw several homes and vehicles hit by gunfire, and a 27-year-old man was seriously injured, according to police.
They say six suspects, all men between the ages of 19 and 21, have been arrested on a range of charges including attempted murder and various weapons offences.
All six were held pending a bail hearing.
In addition to the arrests, police said officers also seized four illegal handguns and more than 50 cartridges.
The investigation involved officers from the 22nd Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), 11th Division CIB, Specialized Bureau of Law Enforcement, Intelligence, Emergency Support Services and uniform patrol.
