2 arrested after guns seized at Lindsay residence: police – Peterborough

Two people are facing firearms charges following a police investigation in Lindsay, Ont.
The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Department said as part of an ongoing investigation Friday, officers attended a home on Cambridge Street South where they arrested two people at 9:40 a.m. A warrant for search carried out at the house later in the day resulted in the seizure. three long guns, a replica firearm and ammunition, police said.

Jake Breen and Lyndsay Howard, both 29 and from Lindsay, have each been charged with:
- two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- two counts of a firearms offense — storing a firearm or a restricted firearm
Breen was additionally charged with three counts of possession of ammunition for a firearm contrary to a restraining order and one count of breach of probation.
Breen was held for a bail hearing in Lindsay court; Howard has been released and will appear in court on September 1, police said Monday.
